Customizing Your Canvas Dashboard

The Dashboard is your landing page in Canvas. It displays University-wide announcements and course cards for quick access to all your favorite courses (the same courses display in the Courses link from the Global Navigation Menu)

You can choose which courses to show in your quick-access course cards. by making them a favorite. You can organize your courses by adding a nickname or customizing the color, which is synced with the color shown for the course in the Calendar.

 Customizing the color of the cards makes it easier to distinguish your courses from each other. This is especially useful if you have multiple sections of the same course.

First you will need to customize your course list and "favorite" the courses you want on the dashboard. Once on the dashboard you can change how you view them by rearranging them, changing the color, or giving them a nickname.
